Marvellous Glow – Terms & Conditions

 

Payment Terms

 

 

  • A non-refundable deposit of 45% is required to secure your booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the event start date.

  • For events booked within 30 days of the event date, full payment is required at the time of booking.

  • By making any payment (deposit or otherwise) to Marvellous Glow, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Booking Confirmation

 

 

  • Your booking is only confirmed once you receive a booking confirmation email from Marvellous Glow.

  • By placing an order verbally or via email (regardless of whether a booking form has been returned or deposit paid), it is deemed that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 

Event Timings

 

 

  • If the hire start time is delayed due to circumstances beyond Marvellous Glow’s control, the hire will still end at the agreed time stated on your invoice.

  • If Marvellous Glow has completed setup on time but your event starts late (e.g., due to venue delays or overrunning activities), the hire period will not be extended.

 

Non-Attendance

 

 

  • Marvellous Glow cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control that prevent us from attending your event. These include, but are not limited to:

    • Severe weather conditions

    • Traffic delays

    • Vehicle breakdown

    • Sickness

    • Equipment failure

  •  

  • If we are unable to fulfil your booking, we will notify you (or your venue) as soon as possible. In such cases, our liability is limited to a full refund of monies paid.

 

Cancellations

 

 

  • More than 4 weeks before the event: All money paid will be refunded in full.

  • Within 4 weeks of the event: 100% of the remaining balance is due. Marvellous Glow reserves the right to invoice for the full amount.

  • Covid-19-related cancellations: You may choose to receive a full refund or transfer your booking to a new date (subject to availability).

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of confirmation and returned to the original payment method.

 

Equipment Terms

 

 

  • All equipment is PAT-tested. Certificates are available upon request.

  • We reserve the right to substitute equipment with an alternative of similar type and value without notice if necessary (e.g., due to damage or loss).

  • All sizes provided are approximate.

  • All goods remain the property of Marvellous Glow at all times.

  • Product specifications may be amended without prior notice.

  • Clients must not sit on, move, or tamper with equipment, including light-up letters, bulbs, and electrics.

  • For any issues, contact 0800 689 0484 immediately.

 

Site Requirements & Conduct

 

 

  • Equipment must only be installed and moved by Marvellous Glow staff.

  • Ensure venue permission has been obtained for our equipment.

  • Inform us of any special requirements prior to the event day, such as:

    • Uneven surfaces

    • Restricted access

    • Height limitations

  •  

  • Marvellous Glow reserves the right to remove equipment if it is at risk of damage or misuse.

 

Liability

 

 

  • The client is responsible for any loss or damage to Marvellous Glow equipment during the hire period.

  • Marvellous Glow accepts no liability for damage or loss of personal property or for injury arising from misuse of equipment, including injuries to guests.

  • Public Liability Insurance is in place up to £5,000,000. Copies are available on request at hello@marvellousglow.com.

  • Clients must ensure they understand the risks associated with hired equipment.

 

Dancefloor Hire

 

 

  • Dancefloors will be installed by Marvellous Glow staff only and must not be moved.

  • The installation area must be clean, level, dry, and obstruction-free prior to our arrival. If unsuitable, installation may be refused without refund.

  • Liquid spillages must be cleaned immediately by venue staff to avoid hazards.

  • The dancefloor is for dancing only. Do not:

    • Place heavy objects (e.g., DJ booths, furniture) on it

    • Walk on it with metal-soled shoes or similar

    • Apply stickers, decals, adhesives, or coverings

  •  

  • Any damage caused by misuse will be chargeable to the client.

 

Neon Hire

 

  • All neon signs will be installed by Marvellous Glow staff unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Neons must not be moved, rehung, or tampered with once installed.

  • Signs are decorative only. Do not:

    • Touch, lean on, or hang items (e.g., balloons, drapes) from them

  •  

  • Neons are fragile; damage caused by misuse will be chargeable to the client.

  • Indoor use only unless otherwise agreed. For outdoor installations, weather protection must be provided.

  • Any specific installation requirements (e.g., wall fixings, backdrop needs) must be communicated in advance.

  • Marvellous Glow reserves the right to refuse or remove installation if the location is unsafe.
